About the ASDP Mentorship Award
The American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP) was founded in 1962 with the mission of improving the quality of lives by continually advancing the theory and practice of dermatopathology. The ASDP’s Mentorship Award is highly competitive, providing funding for recipients to acquire additional dermatopathology skills and to conduct research with mentorship from outside their institutions. Dr. Shah will be working under the mentorship of Dirk Elston, M.D., one of the current era’s foremost experts in dermatopathology. This award not only supports Dr. Shah’s research but also provides travel funding to present his work at the ASDP’s annual meeting upon the conclusion of his mentorship.
