Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics PDF Reports Available in Early August

To ensure our clinical partners can efficiently and effectively review test results, Mayo Medical Laboratories will be implementing additional PDF reports over the next several months. The next round of enhanced and supplemental reports will go live as part of our genetics laboratory system upgrade, scheduled for the weekend of August 1-2.
WHAT TESTS ARE INCLUDED IN EARLY AUGUST?
Enhanced and Supplemental Reports will be go live for more than
250 Molecular and Cytogenetics laboratory test results.
WHO ARE THESE REPORTS FOR?
Our clinical partners have requested these reports to meet the clinical practice expectations from specialist physicians, employed physicians, pathologists, and patients.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE THESE NEW REPORTS?
The new PDF reports will be included in test results reported via your HL7 interface and MayoACCESS. The test result will include a link to a PDF that can be downloaded and entered into you electronic medical record or laboratory information system.
WHO DESIGNED THE REPORT?
Our enhanced and supplemental reports were designed in close collaboration with Mayo Clinic physicians and clinical leaders in our industry. To ensure we are delivering the best reports we can, we have a multidisciplinary team of clinical, technical, and design experts developing the next generation of laboratory reports.
