PathWays Case Study: Jan. 31
A 56-year-old woman has a significant history of osteoporosis. Her physical exam in 2013 showed a barely palpable left lower thyroid nodule. The ultrasound image demonstrated a 1.7 cm well-circumscribed nodule. She underwent fine-needle aspiration (FNA) of this nodule. After two months of the FNA diagnosis, the patient underwent total thyroidectomy.
