The Mayo Clinic Health System critical access hospital laboratory I work at consists of three rooms and they are all divided by a hallway where patients, visitors, and other medical and non-medical staff walk through constantly. Lab staff are required to wear PPE and carry species across the hallway between rooms. It would be great to have the three rooms of the lab connected, especially since there is only one Lab Tech working in the whole lab for certain shifts. We also need better flow for our clean area and dirty area because it is not well defined.
