Overview
This “Virtual Lecture” will discuss what autoimmune neurology is, as well as how neural antibody profiles and the field itself have evolved. This program will also cover how discoveries happen within the Neuroimmunology Laboratory and how these discoveries can lead to novel therapies and possible cures.
Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the rapidly evolving field of autoimmune neurology with a specific focus on glial autoimmunity.
- Summarize the clinical utility of neural autoantibody testing in practice.
- Define how the understanding of immunopathogenic mechanisms can lead to novel therapeutic approaches.
