In this month’s “Virtual Lecture,” Colin West, M.D., Ph.D., speaks broadly about health care professionals' well-being, and discusses various principles for you to use in your own career to prevent burnout symptoms and dissatisfaction.

Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize human performance theory as it relates to physicians.
  • Describe the benefits of focusing on optimizing performance.
  • Outline a well-being model of medicine built on optimizing performance.
