April 15‒16, 2021
Presented by Mayo Clinic Laboratories
This two-day virtual conference will offer the opportunity to learn the effects of preanalytical variables, overcome challenging pediatric draws, discover infection prevention techniques in the COVID-19 era, and tackle other issues faced by phlebotomists. Additionally, attendees will learn how to manage change in a multi-generational workforce, discuss coaching and leadership techniques, and learn how to communicate effectively. The conference will also feature an interactive session where participants will have the opportunity to submit difficult phlebotomy cases ahead of time. These will be addressed during the live program. Finally, there will be a question and answer session featuring a panel of phlebotomy supervisors, phlebotomy educators, and human resources.
The virtual conference format balances topics of general interest, which are presented in large-group sessions, with breakout sessions and tours geared toward specific areas of interest.
