Mayo Clinic Pathology System Upgrade Resource Page
By Andy Tofilon • August 2, 2017
To ensure we continue to provide the highest level of value-based reference laboratory services, Mayo Medical Laboratories (MML) will be implementing a new pathology laboratory information system (LIS) on Friday, September 8, 2017.
New Pathology System—PathDx
On September 8, the current pathology LIS—CoPath System—will be replaced with a new SCC Soft module—PathDx. This system migration will occur after 8 p.m. CDT (UTC-5) on Thursday, September 7, to minimize interruptions. The new test codes will be orderable on September 8.
View details related to the system migration plan. This information can be printed and displayed in work areas as a reference for laboratory personnel.
Test notifications will be emailed to our clients based on utilization. As part of the test rebuilds, there may be changes associated with the billing structure of tests; these changes can be found on the notification.
Test notifications are also posted at mayomedicallaboratories.com in the
Updated Tests section. Clients are encouraged to check this site at any time for updates.
For questions regarding the implementation of PathDx, please contact our Customer Service Department at
