New Tests

In August 2021, Mayo Clinic Laboratories announced three new tests along with numerous reference value changes, obsolete tests, and algorithm changes.

The new tests that launched in August 2021 by Mayo Clinic Laboratories:

XHIM | X-Linked Hyper IgM Syndrome, Blood

This test is intended for screening for X-linked hyper-IgM (XL-HIGM) or CD40L deficiency, primarily in male patients younger than 10 years of age.

CIFA | Cutaneous Immunofluorescence Antibodies, IgA, Serum

This test is intended for confirming a diagnosis of pemphigoid, pemphigus, epidermolysis bullosa acquisita, or bullous lupus erythematosusma.

BALLM   | B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia Monitoring, Minimal Residual Disease Detection, Flow Cytometry, Bone Marrow

This test is intended in monitoring a previously confirmed diagnosis of B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia.

The new tests that launched in July 2021 by Mayo Clinic Laboratories:

PTRIP | Prostate Triple (P63/KRT/P504S), Technical Component Only

This test is intended for use as an aid in identifying high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and prostate cancer

P504S | Immunostain, Technical Component Only

This test is intended for use of characterization of renal cell carcinoma and the identification of high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and prostate carcinoma.

SSX18 | Synovial Sarcoma Panel, Technical Component Only

This test is intended for aiding in distinguishing synovial sarcomas from similar sarcomas.
