Bobbi Pritt, M.D., elected to the College of American Pathologists Board of Governors

Bobbi Pritt, M.D., chair of the Division of Clinical Microbiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, was sworn in as a member of the Board of Governors of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) at its recent annual meeting. Founded in 1946, the College of American Pathologists is the world's largest organization of board-certified pathologists and the leading provider of laboratory accreditation and proficiency testing programs.

Dr. Pritt has served on many CAP committees, councils, and task forces. Most notably, in 2020 she served as chair of the Microbiology Committee and led the committee’s numerous COVID-19 response efforts.

Dr. Pritt received her medical degree from the University of Vermont, Larner College of Medicine. She then completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Vermont Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in medical microbiology at Mayo Clinic. In addition to being chair of the Division of Clinical Microbiology, Dr. Pritt is a professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and secretary-elect of the Mayo Clinic Officers and Councilors of Staff.
