Mayo Clinic Laboratories named by HHS to expand monkeypox testing capacity

Mayo Clinic Laboratories was named by the Department of Health and Human Services as one of five commercial laboratories to expand access and capacity for monkeypox testing in the U.S. This decision by the Department of Health and Human Services, through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will provide health care providers and patients expanded options for testing. Commercial laboratories, including Mayo Clinic Laboratories, plan to have validated tests by early July.
