In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, Mayo Clinic Laboratories is resuming normal operations. 

Mayo Clinic Laboratories in Jacksonville, Florida, has reopened and is accepting shipments. 

For Florida clients, we are working with couriers to determine the feasibility of transporting specimens. Clients will be contacted directly if there are any disruptions.

Mayo Clinic Laboratories will continue to work with our logistics partners to minimize challenges in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. We anticipate resuming normal operations on Friday, Oct. 11. Updates for Oct. 10:

  • Mayo Clinic Laboratories in Jacksonville, Florida, is closed today, Thursday, Oct. 10. 
  • If shipping from Florida, stabilize and hold your specimens today.
  • For all other clients, if you usually ship to Mayo Clinic Laboratories in Jacksonville:
    • Couriers: will redirect this work to the Rochester campus. 
    • Self-shippers: direct your work to the Rochester campus or hold samples. 
  • All outbound shipments to Florida will be held today

We will reassess the situation and send a communication tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 11, with further recommendations. Clients in the affected areas should expect to be contacted directly if any routes are modified or canceled.

  • Mayo Clinic Laboratories in Jacksonville, Florida, will be closed starting this evening beginning at 5 p.m. ET through Thursday, Oct. 10. 
  • If you are shipping from Florida, stabilize and hold your specimens today, Oct. 9 and tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 10.
  • For all other clients, if you normally ship to Mayo Clinic Laboratories in Jacksonville, Florida:
    • Couriers: will redirect this work to the Rochester campus. 
    • Self-shippers: direct your work to the Rochester campus or hold samples.
  • All outbound shipments to Florida will be held today and tomorrow.

This weather may impact shipping for some clients. If routes are modified or canceled, clients in the affected areas should expect to be contacted directly. Mayo Clinic Laboratories in Jacksonville, Florida, is currently operating as usual.
