Overview
This webinar will discuss the laboratory management system and how it translates organizational strategy into reliable daily execution within a complex laboratory environment. The presentation illustrates how strategy deployment, daily readiness, and structured problem-solving function as an integrated system to improve patient value, operational performance, and staff engagement.
Attendees will examine how the management system creates clarity, alignment, and accountability across all levels of the organization, enabling frontline teams to surface risks early, solve problems scientifically, and continuously improve alignment with strategic priorities.

Learning objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe how strategy deployment, daily readiness, and structured problem-solving integrate to translate strategy into daily work and drive consistent execution.
- Explain how tiered huddles and visual management systems are used to stabilize daily operations, surface risks early, and enable real-time problem escalation.
- Identify the role of structured problem-solving methods (e.g., Managing for Daily Improvement [MDI] boards, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events) in developing frontline problem-solvers and closing performance gaps.
- Recognize leadership behaviors and system practices that sustain continuous improvement, align improvement efforts with strategic priorities, and drive measurable operational and financial results.

This webinar is appropriate for laboratory administrators and managers, safety coordinators, quality assurance and control staff, supervisors, and other laboratory personnel who are dedicated to safety, continuous quality, and process improvement.
