Jori May, M.D.

Jori May, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Dr. May earned he M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and then completed her residency, chief residency, and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at UAB. Her clinical focus is the care of patients with thrombosis and coagulation disorders, and her academic interest is in systems-based hematology, a field that works to improve hematologic care delivery across health systems. She is currently the Section Chief of Classical Hematology at UAB and also serves as the Physician Advisor for Hemostatic and Antithrombotic Stewardship for UAB Medicine.  She is an active medical educator, serving in roles within UAB’s medical school, internal medicine residency program, and as Assistant Program Director of the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. Dr. May is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the treasurer of the Anticoagulation Forum, and she is also a member of the Committee on Quality of the American Society of Hematology. 

Allison Remiker, M.D.

Allison Remiker, MD, is a board-certified pediatric hematologist at Children's Wisconsin and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She serves as Program Director of Pediatric Hematology, as well as the Program Director of the Comprehensive Thalassemia and Immunohematology Programs. She earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, completed pediatric residency training at Indiana University School of Medicine/Riley Hospital for Children, and fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Her clinical, research, and leadership interests focus on hemoglobinopathies, immune dysregulation, rare hematologic disorders, multidisciplinary program development, and improving outcomes for children with complex blood and immune disorders.
