LOINC Updates
Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC®) is clinical terminology that is important for laboratory test orders and results, and is one of a suite of designated standards for use in U.S. federal government systems for the electronic exchange of clinical health information.
Mayo Clinic Laboratories systematically assigns LOINC values to its assays, as provided in the following spreadsheet.
Z-Code Updates
To access the DEX Z codes, you must first register through DEX.
After registering through DEX, log into mayocliniclabs.com and search for "z codes" in the upper right corner of the web page. The user must attest to being a registered user of the DEX Diagnostic Exchange by clicking the blue "Access DEX Z-Codes" button. An Excel spreadsheet will open to display the Z codes.
