Phlebotomy Technician Scholarships Deadline Extended to June 5

Do you know someone who recently graduated from high school? How about someone looking to follow a new career path? Ask him or her to consider the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS) 10-week Phlebotomy Program as a future educational option and career growth opportunity.

Scholarship Deadline Now Extended to Monday, June 5
The MCSHS is now awarding full scholarships for students who are accepted into the August program. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to join the growing field of phlebotomy.

MCSHS admits up to 15 students to its Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program every 11 to 12 weeks. For those receiving scholarships who successfully complete the program and are hired to a Mayo Clinic Phlebotomy Technician position, a two-year commitment in that position is required.

About the Program
The MCSHS 10-week Phlebotomy Program provides medical education knowledge along with patient care experience.

Phlebotomy technicians work with other professionals in hospital and outpatient environments to collect and prepare blood samples for laboratory testing as part of a patient’s total care team. Phlebotomists work with patients of all ages. Many phlebotomy technicians expand their skill sets over time and take those talents with them into other careers at Mayo such as nursing.
