Histology Technician Program Celebrates 2018 Graduation

Graduation for the Histology Technician Program, part of the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, was held on Friday, May 18, in Leighton Auditorium on the Rochester, Minnesota, campus.

The nine-month Histology Technician Program provides instruction on how to properly gross, fix, process, embed, cut, and stain tissue, as well as how to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise in the laboratory setting.

The class of 2018 features six graduates: Heba Abseh, Octavio Anchondo, Anisa Volkart, Michaela Williamson, Lisa Zerby, and Xiuyan Zhou. Congratulations to the graduates.

Molly Larsen is the Web Content Coordinator at Mayo ClinicLaboratories. She is responsible for internal and external communications pertaining to the website and information technology, as well as editing content on MayoClinicLabs.com. She has worked at Mayo Clinic since 2015. Outside of work, Molly enjoys working out, reading, Harry Potter trivia, and spending time with her family and friends, including Seamus, the labrador/mastiff puppy.
