Mayo Clinic Laboratories at Executive War College

From April 30 to May 1, laboratory leaders will join together to address laboratory trends and challenges at the 25th annual Executive War College in New Orleans. Robert Michel, Editor-in-Chief of The Dark Report and DARK Daily, will host the event. This year's event will address two fundamental requirements: "First is an urgent need to learn and implement effective cost-control strategies. Second is to develop and deploy targeted lab services that deliver value and earn your lab superior reimbursements."

Our Speakers

Mayo Clinic will have two speakers featured at this year's Executive War College:

• Curt Hanson, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Mayo Clinic Laboratories, will present "New Approaches to Using Lab Test Ordering Rules in EHRs: Do’s and Don’ts to Support Productive Workflows, Improve Clinicians’ Test Utilization, and Collect the Right Metrics on Outcomes, TATs, and Cost Savings." The Master Class will be held on Tuesday from 8:30‒9:20 a.m. CDT.
• Jane Hermansen, Outreach and Network Development Manager at Mayo Clinic Laboratories, will present "Defend Your Lab as a Vital Resource to Your Parent Hospital/Health Network: Success Secrets to Preserve Your Lab’s Budget, Support Key Clinical Strategies, and Leverage the Power of Lab Testing Services." The Breakout Session will be held on Tuesday at 1:45‒2:35 p.m.
