Operational Update

Updated authentication for Mayo Clinic Laboratories

March 12, 2021

On Saturday, Mayo Clinic Laboratories migrated to the authentication service used across Mayo Clinic. This authentication service provides both improved security and the convenience of a single sign-in experience for Mayo Clinic Laboratories applications.

View the step-by-step instructions below for signing in after the migration.

After the migration, the MCL sign-in link and bookmarks will open the new sign-in page.

The first time users sign in with their email address and password, they will need to update their password and select a security question.

Users are prompted to update their password.

Users will then receive two emails about this change to reset the password. One email will show the email address and the second email will show the password reset link. Once users click on the link, they will be asked to select a new password and security question.

Once complete, users will receive an email confirming the password change.

After users sign in with the new password, they must agree to the terms and conditions.

Moving forward, users will have the convenience of a single sign-in experience for Mayo Clinic Laboratories applications.
