Introducing the enhanced MayoClinicLabs.com

Operational update

Starting December 7, you will notice enhancements to MayoClinicLabs.com. We are building a better website for you, our clients, to ensure the best experience possible. We’re moving toward a simpler, more intuitive and customized experience, making it easier to do business with us.

Many of the current changes are behind the scenes but will prepare us for future updates. The functionality of our website will remain the same but will include an updated look and feel as well as minimal enhancements to the Web Test Catalog.

  • The look and feel of the site have been updated, but the overall functionality is the same.
  • Site sign-out includes multiple options: 1. Use the Sign Out button in the footer, 2. Be automatically signed out after 30 minutes of inactivity, or 3. Most users can simply close the browser.
  • To access your personalized content at any time, click My Dashboard in the upper right corner of any page.

Some clients use network firewall rules to manage the access their organization’s network users have to internet resources (which is typically website access). As an example, some of our clients have a rule in their firewall that allows users to access the IP address 129.176.0.183 on port 80 and 443, which is the IP address for MayoClinicLabs.com.

Mayo Clinic Laboratories’ new website features may require additional firewall entries added to allow access to a new IP address. That firewall rule follows:

  • Allow access to IP address 20.88.32.24 over ports 80 and 443. (This IP address is different from the originally communicated IP address.)
  • No other firewall rule changes are required.

Some clients also manage the domain name system (DNS) resources their network computers use to resolve URLs to IP addresses. For those companies, we offer the following DNS server resources hosted by Mayo Clinic: 129.176.171.5 and 129.176.199.5

ACTION REQUESTED: Please forward this information to your IT department as soon as possible to get these changes implemented prior to the launch of our new website capabilities. Your IT department can then determine if a change is required in your organization’s firewall settings.

This change does not affect MayoACCESS or MayoLINK in any way.

Additional updates will be rolled out as available. We will keep you updated each step of the way. For help or questions, please contact Customer Service.
