• How advocacy and membership organizations, like the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Clinical Laboratory Association (ACLA), support laboratories and clinicians.
• How these organizations play a role in regulatory efforts, including reimbursement, the VALID Act, and FDA regulation of laboratory developed tests.
• Why it is important for laboratorians to stay engaged and ensure that policymakers hear their perspectives.
