Clinical trial testing
Powered by the specialty test catalog of Mayo Clinic Laboratories, we offer more than 4,400 laboratory tests and pathology services. Research-only tests are also available. These tests are developed in close partnership with every subspecialty of the Mayo Clinic practice.

Our flexible lab space provides resources needed for assay development, instrument or assay kit validation projects, remnant sample acquisition, and co-development opportunities.
Assay development
Leveraging the clinical and research assay development capabilities of Mayo Clinic, we will organize a team of laboratory, medical, and business professionals to collaborate, develop, and launch tests specific to your therapeutic strategy.
Sponsored testing
To ensure that patients receive the right therapy, we partner with industry to leverage our highly specialized tests to identify disease, confirm efficacy, monitor treatments, and coordinate billing and payment.
Commercialization
With over 50 years of reference laboratory commercialization success, we have the product management, marketing, and sales expertise to commercialize testing to providers and clinicians worldwide.
Clinical trial and validation sites
Mayo Clinic has three campuses as well as a health system spanning three states. As a result, we can facilitate multi-site prospective sample collections to support clinical trials and diagnostic validation projects.
Project management
Clinical and research projects are complicated and have many moving pieces. That is why we dedicate account representatives and project staff to every project.
Contracting
Research requires collaborative business relationships. Contracting, legal, and other business resources are available to efficiently move from inquiry to a signed contract.
Regulatory compliance
Our regulatory system includes CAP/CLIA certification for our clinical laboratories as well as access to research laboratory capabilities, coordination with the Mayo Clinic Institutional Review Board, and access to resources that provide clinical performance data in support of client regulatory submission.
