Mayo Clinic Laboratories' specimen pickup and delivery schedules will be altered due to the upcoming July 4th holiday. To ensure specimen stability and prevent delays, follow the guidelines outlined below for domestic clients and international clients.

The downtime process and form have been improved to provide clear guidance on the steps clients should take during downtime.

A winter storm is occurring in the Northeast which may impact specimen transport. The winter storm is expected to spread snow, strong winds, and create possible blizzard conditions which could impact courier pickups and route delays. We are monitoring the situation and will implement contingency plans as needed to avoid any potential delays. Clients should expect to be contacted directly by the couriers should any routes be modified or canceled. 

Due to a major weather impact at the FedEx hub in Memphis, Tennessee, the Mayo Clinic Laboratories’ Global Logistics team is working to minimize any client impacts. This may impact courier pickups and cause delays at major hubs (Fed Ex and UPS). We are monitoring and tracking this situation with our logistics partners and are prepared to adjust to minimize challenges. Clients should expect to be contacted directly by the couriers should any routes be modified or canceled.

The United States will observe the New Year holiday on Monday, Jan. 1. On this day, Mayo Clinic Laboratories will be open; however, specimen shipments and deliveries to our laboratories will not be made by the carriers. To safeguard specimens, please follow these shipping recommendations.

Mayo Clinic Laboratories is committed to security and to protecting your information. As part of this commitment, we will implement an optional two-step login process for Mayo Clinic Laboratories applications called Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This process is like the two-step login process used by many other apps and provides an extra layer of security.
