We offer a comprehensive menu of hematology assays, including over 60 esoteric tests for bleeding, thrombosing, and platelet disorders.

This testing is developed and performed by a multidisciplinary team of Mayo Clinic experts like Rajiv Pruthi, M.B.B.S., director of the Comprehensive Hemophilia Center in the Division of Hematology and co-director of the Special Coagulation Laboratory within the Division of Hematopathology, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

Our testing can serve as a complement to testing performed at your own laboratory and includes:

  • Anticoagulation drug monitoring
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Platelet disorders including platelet glycoprotein flow cytometry and electron microscopy
  • Serotonin release assay for heparin-induced thrombocytopenia
  • Thrombophilia (congenital and acquired)
  • Thrombotic microangiopathy
  • Chromogenic factors VIII and IX; von Willebrand disease
  • Molecular testing including next-generation sequencing assays for thrombotic, coagulation, and platelet disorders
