Updates to Notifications

The May 30 release includes updates to Notifications. We appreciate your ongoing feedback!

The account number and the obfuscated order number now display in the Test Results Available email subject line. The link in the email body will also contain the obfuscated order number.

The Condition to Match and Value to Match fields are not displayed until user selects an option in the Data Field drop-down list.

The Condition to Match defaults to Matches exactly when the user selects any of the following options in the Data Field drop-down list.

Updates to Notifications

The following outlines the May 1 updates to Notifications. If you have additional feedback, please share it with our team.

Test Comments has been removed from Data Field options

Test Comments are handled the same as Results Comments. If a rule is defined to trigger on text in Results Comments, it will send an email if that text appears in either Test Comments or Results Comments.

Clicking the icon next to the Data Field displays information about the condition options

Notification Rules that contain obsolete Test IDs are highlighted

Users cannot create or update rules that contain obsolete or invalid Test IDs. The User Guide will contain more information, if needed.

Clients can create Notification Rules to send emails when test results are available for:

  • All Orders (formerly Account): sends emails when test results are available for any order under this account.
  • Manual orders: sends emails when test results are available for any orders that were entered manually in MayoACCESS as opposed to the interface.
  • Unsolicited orders: sends emails when test results are available for any orders that were entered by Mayo (for example orders submitted using the downtime process) as opposed to manually in MayoACCESS or through the interface.
  • Unsolicited tests: sends emails when test results are available for any tests that were added to the order, including reflex tests.
