INFECTIOUS DISEASES

A WEALTH OF TESTING EXPERIENCE

BioPharma Diagnostics offers access to the infectious disease testing capabilities of Mayo Clinic’s internationally renowned clinical microbiology laboratories. With more than 70 years of testing experience, our laboratories span all areas of conventional and molecular medical microbiology, offering a broad selection of tests designed for rapid identification and in-depth characterization of the bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic agents of infectious diseases.

Performing more than four million tests annually, our seven clinical microbiology laboratories have developed and implemented in vitro and culture techniques, immunoassays, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and molecular methods for rapid detection, identification, and characterization of microbial pathogens.

Our laboratories are managed by physician-scientists, many of whom are actively engaged in clinical practice and research. Through BioPharma Diagnostics, our partners have access to a wealth of world-renowned expertise to help guide test ordering and interpret results.
