Blood products are frequently collected in one country and used within another country as part of military operations, international relief efforts, or meeting the needs of recipients with uncommon product requirements. To that end, the World Health Organization in collaboration with ICCBBA maintains the ISBT 128 coding system for all medical products of human origin including blood, organs, bone marrow, and cord blood.

An 18-month-old boy presented with nausea, vomiting, and progressive somnolence. Imaging studies revealed a large mass in the fourth ventricle, associated with obstructive hydrocephalus. He underwent gross total resection of the tumor.
