Overview:
This module will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to become a successful phlebotomist. You will be introduced to medical terminology, learning many of the terms you are likely to encounter in the health care setting. We will share information related to collection devices, explaining the types of equipment used and the situations each would be used in. We will also take an in-depth look at the collection tubes and share information regarding specimen types, common tests, and the recommended order of draw.
Intended Audience: This series is appropriate for phlebotomists, phlebotomy managers, phlebotomy educators, and other patient-care staff involved in specimen collection.
